San Francisco Sailing

The San Francisco Bay area is a world class location for sailing. The conditions are generally windy in the afternoons in late spring and summer. Since the bay is connected to the Pacific ocean, the currents caused by the tides create an additional challenge. Also, vast areas of the bay are off limits because of insufficient dept. I have crewed on and skippered a variety of boats , Catalina 30, J133. Janneau 47, Hunter 42, Islander Freeport 41. In 2009 I purchased a Pacific Seacraft 37 in Hawaii. I sailed it to San Francisco in 2010.
