Track over a ridgeline in the Swiss Alps. In the foreground you can see the track over the corniche. It follows the ridge down into a valley in Italy. After taking this route, I decided that mountaineering was not the thing for me. I will stick to regular hiking trails.
Peak register on Split Mountain in the Eastern Sierra's. George and I did this as a day hike from the parking lot. Normally it is a three day backpacking trip so we had to go lite and push hard. Our reward was finding this 1936 Sierra Club peak register at the peak.
